The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced the results of the "2024 Comprehensive Information Disclosure Evaluation" at the cabinet meeting on the 7th.

The comprehensive information disclosure evaluation has been conducted annually since 2019, targeting central administrative agencies, local governments, and public institutions.

The results announced on this day evaluated five areas: ◇ proactive information disclosure ◇ full-text information disclosure ◇ information disclosure request processing ◇ customer management ◇ system operation, targeting a total of 554 institutions. The target institutions include 308 administrative agencies and 246 public institutions.

The average score of all institutions was 92.5 out of a possible 100 points. This marks an increase of 5.1 points from the previous year (87.4 points).

The evaluation grades for each institution showed that 111 institutions were rated "most outstanding," representing the top 20%. Subsequently, there were 164 "outstanding (20~50%)" institutions, and 277 "average (50~100%)" institutions. Two institutions received less than 60 points and were rated "inadequate."

The Ministry of the Interior and Safety plans to hold a briefing session for information disclosure officers from each institution to share the analysis results of this evaluation. For the inadequate institutions, Jangsu Hanwoo Local Corporation and Yeongyang Pepper Distribution Corporation, the ministry recommends improving the current state of information disclosure operations and will provide 1:1 tailored consulting.

Lee Yong-seok, director of the Digital Government Innovation Bureau at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, noted, "We will continue to closely inspect and evaluate the state of information disclosure operations to ensure that public institutions' information disclosure meets the public's expectations."
