The Ministry of Personnel Management announced on the 2nd that it will conduct an open recruitment for 'open positions for January 2025' until the 17th.

There are a total of 14 positions available in this recruitment. This includes six positions for senior civil servants and eight Director-level positions across 10 departments, including the Office for Government Policy Coordination, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The Ministry of Personnel Management designates positions as open if they require expertise or are deemed necessary for efficient policy-making. These positions are selected through an open recruitment process both inside and outside of the public service.

The senior civil servant positions include: ▲Director of the National Gugak Center, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism ▲Standing Tax Tribunal Commissioner, Office for Government Policy Coordination ▲Head of Compilation Department, National History Compilation Committee, Ministry of Education ▲Head of Medical Affairs, National Forensic Hospital, Ministry of Justice ▲Inspector General, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport ▲Taxpayer Protection Officer, National Tax Service.

The Director-level positions include: ▲Director of Disaster Insurance, Ministry of the Interior and Safety ▲Director of Toxicology, National Forensic Service ▲Director of New Media Communication Support, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism ▲Director of Education and Cultural Exchange, Gyeongju National Museum ▲Director of Air Traffic Control and Communications, Seoul Regional Aviation Administration, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport ▲Director of Seafarer Policy, Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries ▲Administrative Law and Legal Affairs Officer, Defense Acquisition Program Administration ▲Head Judge, Intellectual Property Trial and Appeal Board.

Among the positions in this recruitment, three are designated as career open positions available for private talent only, including the Taxpayer Protection Officer, Director of Education and Cultural Exchange, Gyeongju National Museum, and Head Judge at the Intellectual Property Trial and Appeal Board.
