Naver CEO Choi Soo-yeon attended the 'AI Action Summit' held in Paris, France, on the 10th and 11th (local time) and introduced Naver's vision for expanding the diversity of the digital ecosystem through AI technology for creators, users, and sellers, on the 12th.
On the 11th, CEO Choi stood on the panel for the second session of the general assembly themed 'The Future of Sustainable AI.' The session opened with a keynote speech by United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, followed by presentations from Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo, International Energy Agency Secretary-General Fatih Birol, and CEO Choi of Naver. About 300 attendees, including national leaders, government delegations, academics, and AI industry leaders, were present, and the only corporations invited as panelists were CEO Choi and Sundar Pichai, CEO of Alphabet.
CEO Choi emphasized, “Naver has secured the experience and know-how to create and develop a virtuous cycle that can bring greater opportunities to the digital ecosystem by simultaneously possessing core AI original technologies and large-scale services used by tens of millions.” He added, “Based on this, we will strive to become a new option to strengthen the diversity of the AI ecosystem together with the global community.”
CEO Choi specifically explained, “Naver is transforming accumulated content, including users' questions and answers about numerous pieces of information and writings containing life wisdom, into a tool for daily life, known as 'AI.'” He further noted, “The AI being developed by Naver will become a tool that more intricately connects users, creators, and sellers.”
