A Chinese national was caught by police for unauthorized drone filming at Jeju International Airport, a facility of the highest national importance.

The area within a 9.3 km radius of Jeju Airport, classified as a ‘critical’ national security facility, is a no-fly zone for drones. Last year, flights were halted, causing inconvenience to airport users, when a suspicious object believed to be a drone was discovered at Jeju Airport.
