The government said on the 10th that it would provide 3 million won as the first emergency living expenses to the families of victims of the Jeju Air disaster. If requested by the bereaved families, the retention period for personal belongings will be extended from the basic 6 months.

Acting Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety Ko said at the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters meeting that "emergency care is being flexibly applied by expanding support limits and targets to be helpful, considering individual circumstances."

Acting Minister Ko noted, "On the 8th, we completed special inspections of navigation safety facilities at 13 airports nationwide and are analyzing the results," adding, "We will derive improvement tasks to reassure the public and address what can be done immediately."
