It has been belatedly reported that Kim Bong-sik, the Administrator of the Seoul Police Agency, who is under suspicion of important duties related to insurrection during the '12·3 emergency martial law', has been relieved of his position.

Administrator Kim was appointed as the Administrator of the Seoul Police Agency on Aug. 14 of last year. During the 12·3 martial law incident, about three hours before the declaration of martial law, around 7 p.m., he met President Yoon Suk-yeol at the President's private residence in Samcheong-dong, Jongno District, Seoul, and received an A4 document that mentioned 'seizing institutions,' and he is suspected of issuing a total access control order to the National Assembly, preventing lawmakers from entering.

He was detained on the 13th of last month along with Korean National Police Agency Commissioner Jo Ji-ho, who is facing similar accusations, and they were sent to the prosecution, which is expected to indict them on this day.
