After the bodies of all 179 victims of the Jeju Air plane disaster were handed over to the bereaved families, the funeral procedures are underway.

The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety noted that as of 9 p.m. on the 6th, all victims of the incident had been handed over to the bereaved families, and the funeral procedures are currently ongoing.

Apart from the funeral procedures, the accident investigation is continuing. The government has extended the closure of Muan Airport until 5 a.m. on the 14th of this month to proceed with the investigation.

The government is currently operating an integrated support center in collaboration with 36 agencies, providing medical support, psychological counseling, legal advice, meals, accommodation, supplies, and transportation support to the bereaved families.

Additionally, a "Jeju Air plane accident support guide" was created and distributed to allow the bereaved families to easily check the support they need. The guide contains about 20 types of support items and application methods, including legal support, psychological counseling, and emergency child care services.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport is conducting special safety inspections on 101 aircraft from six airlines that own aircraft of the same model as the accident aircraft.

The Korean National Police Agency is currently investigating 126 malicious posts, with one case having been apprehended. Five search warrants have been executed, and warrants for 51 posts are in the application phase with investigations ongoing.
