The 40th Graduate School Union at Yonsei University (hereafter referred to as the Union) will hold the '2024 United Academic Forum' at 6:30 p.m. on the 11th at Widang Hall in Yonsei University's Sinchon Campus.
Koo Soo-hwan, chairman of the Lee Tae-seok Foundation, will give a lecture on 'Lee Tae-seok Leadership that Moved the World.' Park Yong-hoo, CEO of PYH, will make a presentation on 'Design Your Perspective.'
The Union, which covers 19 graduate schools at Yonsei University, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. It holds a united academic forum twice a year on average.
This year's event targets 150 graduate students and alumni of Yonsei University. A Union official noted, “The forum is held to share insights from various figures and to discuss and contemplate the direction to move forward in the current situation.”
Daegu City Mayor Hong Joon-pyo was scheduled to attend the forum as a speaker, but his participation was canceled before the event began. A Union official said, “We were informed that Mayor Hong got another appointment and found it difficult to attend.” A Daegu city official also noted, “The attendance was canceled due to another schedule.” Mayor Hong was scheduled to give a presentation titled 'Let's Move into an Era of Advanced Nations.'
