The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) announced on the 9th that it has signed a research collaboration agreement with ATNC at the Dogok campus in Seoul for the development of technologies to enhance brain health and treat intractable brain diseases. ATNC is a company that produces depression treatment devices and Alzheimer's disease treatment devices based on transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). KAIST plans to assist ATNC in developing digital treatment equipment for brain diseases. ATNC will support KAIST with 3 billion won for research personnel and research funding.

The Korea Institute of Construction Technology (Construction Research Institute) announced that it will operate a standalone booth at 'CES 2025' in Las Vegas, the United States, continuing from last year. The standalone booth features seven smart construction startups showcasing advanced technologies. The Construction Research Institute noted that it will actively assist the international expansion of these startups.

The Korea Aerospace Research Institute announced on the 9th that it held a meeting with three government-funded research institutes, including the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute, the Korea Institute of Fusion Energy, and the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources. These research institutions conduct studies related to lunar exploration, and the Aerospace Research Institute heard voices from the research field regarding lunar exploration during this meeting.

The National Central Science Museum, under the Ministry of Science and ICT, announced the guidelines for the '71st National Science Exhibition' and the '46th National Student Science Invention Contest' for 2025 on the 9th. Registration for the National Science Exhibition begins on Aug. 6, and registration for the National Student Science Invention Contest starts on Jul. 2. The Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) announced that Jo Won-il, head researcher at the KIST Innovation and Corporate Partnership Center, has been appointed as the 27th president of the Korean Federation of Chemical Societies. Established in 1999, the Korean Federation of Chemical Societies comprises six regular member societies, including the Korean Chemical Society, the Korean Polymer Society, the Korean Institute of Chemical Engineers, the Korean Ceramic Society, the Korean Society of Industrial Chemistry, and the Korean Electrochemical Society, in addition to eight special member companies.
