Professor Lim Myo-taek of Korea University will be inaugurated as president of the Control Robot System Society.

The Control Robot System Society announced on the 31st that Professor Lim will assume office as the 31st president on the 1st of next month. The term lasts for one year.

The new president Lim graduated from the Department of Electrical Engineering at Korea University in 1985 and received a master's degree in electrical engineering from the same graduate school. He later earned a doctorate in electronic engineering from Rutgers University in the United States and worked as a postdoctoral researcher. He returned to Korea in 1994, worked at the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT), and moved to Korea University in 1996, where he continues to work.

The new president Lim is an expert in control theory and mathematical modeling. He has served as the secretary-general, planning director, and academic vice president of the Control Robot System Society and was the organizing chair of the International Conference on Control, Automation, and Robotic Systems (ICCAS) 2015.

In 2026, the president will be Oh Joon-ho, a professor emeritus at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and founder of Rainbow Robotics.

The Control Robot System Society is a domestic academic organization established in 1994 to address control, robotics, automation, systems, and more in a multidisciplinary manner. Currently, it has approximately 7,800 members.
