The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices World is a global evaluation index for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) published by S&P Global in the United States. DJSI is classified into 'DJSI World,' 'DJSI Asia Pacific,' and 'DJSI Korea,' with the most prestigious DJSI World comprising leading corporations in the top 10% of ESG evaluations among the world's top 2,500 companies by market capitalization.
Celltrion was simultaneously included in the DJSI Asia Pacific and DJSI Korea during the first evaluation last year, and has since been included in the DJSI World this year. Through this, it has gained international recognition for its excellent capabilities in responding to climate change, fostering bio startups, and enhancing shareholder value in the institutional sector.
Celltrion is promoting ESG management with the vision of building a sustainable medical service ecosystem based on ESG management. In 2022, it established an ESG dedicated organization directly under the CEO and formed an ESG committee under the board of directors, strengthening systematic ESG governance to enhance activities in various fields. The company declared carbon neutrality by 2045, is responding to climate change through climate change financial impact analysis, and has also conducted 'Celltrion Partner ESG Environmental Education.'
