According to HiteJinro, the Vietnam plant is set to serve as a key production and distribution hub in the global market. The factory, which will be built on a site of approximately 25,000 pyeong (82,083 square meters), is a smart factory incorporating advanced technology, equivalent to 11 times the size of a soccer field. The expected completion date is in 2026.

HiteJinro reported that after completion, the plant will be capable of producing up to approximately 5 million cases of alcoholic beverages annually.

CEO Kim In-kyu noted, "It is significant to break ground for our first overseas production facility in Vietnam, which was the starting point for exporting soju overseas." He added, "The Vietnam plant will serve as a springboard for expanding into the global market centered in Southeast Asia, and it will be a crucial turning point in our leap to become a global comprehensive alcoholic beverage company."

Last year, HiteJinro declared its 'Global Vision 2030' in Vietnam to mark its 100th anniversary. At this occasion, HiteJinro expressed its ambition to popularize the Jinro brand and establish a distinctive brand competitiveness in the global alcoholic beverage market.
