Convenience store 7-Eleven announced on the 7th that it will launch a ready-to-eat meal in collaboration with chefs Jeong Ji-seon and Ahn Yu-seong, who participated in the Netflix cooking survival show 'The Black and White Chef.'

Chef Jeong Ji-seon, known as the 'Queen of Chinese Cuisine,' is regarded as the next generation's top Chinese chef, while chef Ahn Yu-seong is an expert in Japanese and Namdo cuisine, holding the qualification of 'Culinary Master,' which only 17 individuals possess in the country.

7-Eleven will sell 'Jeong Ji-seon Dongpa-yuk,' 'Ahn Yu-seong Myeongran Tamago Gimbap,' 'Ahn Yu-seong Topping Yubu Chobap,' and 'Ahn Yu-seong Myeongran Tamago Sandwich.'

It has also partnered with another restaurant operated by chef Ahn Yu-seong, 'Jangsu Hwekwan,' to release 'Seven Select Ahn Yu-seong Jangsu Hwekwan Garlic Pork Jerky' made from garlic ribs.

A portion of the revenue from products bearing chef Ahn Yu-seong's name will be donated to the 'Korea Master Craftsman Association' to support the training of future culinary professionals, which will be used for students at culinary high schools nationwide.

Last October, 7-Eleven released four types of ready-to-eat meals in collaboration with the Korean Culinary Masters Association, where chef Kim Se-han from Hotel Lotte is affiliated.

In November of last year, it also introduced chef Park Han-min's 'Shrimp Bao Sandwich,' the final winning entry of the 'Awesome Bite' competition hosted by LOTTE WELLFOOD and the Shared Growth Committee to discover hidden restaurants in alleyways.
