Shin Yoo-yeol, the third-generation owner of Lotte and vice president of Lotte Holdings' future growth division and Lotte Biologics' global strategy division, is expected to attend the world's largest electronics and IT exhibition, 'CES 2025,' for the third consecutive year. This year's CES will take place from Jan. 7 to Jan. 10 (local time).
According to the business community on the 6th, Vice President Shin plans to visit the CES venue to tour the booths of domestic and foreign corporations while examining technology trends necessary for discovering the group's future food sources. Vice President Shin, who was promoted to vice president in last month's executive reshuffle, is known to have a keen interest in identifying the group's future growth drivers.
This will be Vice President Shin's third visit to CES. Previously, he attended CES for the first time in 2023 alongside Kim Kyo-hyun, vice chairman of Lotte Chemical. In 2024, he experienced Lotte Innovate's service functions, including the metaverse platform 'Caliverse' and the electric vehicle charger 'EVSIS,' for about 25 minutes at the Lotte Innovate booth.
Vice President Shin is expected to focus on assessing the group's new business opportunities and gaining new ideas through this CES. In particular, Lotte Innovate will showcase the expanded worldview and content of Caliverse at CES this year, and it is reported that Vice President Shin will also examine the latest trends in the global industry, including artificial intelligence (AI), and seek ways to expand international networks.
