Emart24 announced on the 5th that it will release gimbap and bibimbap this month as the first products of the 'End of Imagination' project, which aims to reduce the burden of shopping baskets.

The End of Imagination is a price stabilization project that offers popular products to consumers at affordable prices.

According to Emart24, the gimbap priced at 1,900 won is about 45% cheaper than average gimbap products. However, it uses a total of eight ingredients including ham, surimi, pickled radish, fish cake, burdock, carrot, spinach, and egg.

The bibimbap priced at 3,600 won features a generous serving of seven toppings, centered around pork bulgogi, including romaine, julienned carrots, seasoned bean sprouts, radish, spinach, and onion.

Emart24 stated that it worked hard with its partners to find optimal ingredient combinations that would maintain taste and quality while lowering prices. The two products are currently the cheapest among gimbap and bibimbap products sold in convenience stores.

Emart24 has developed a strategy to continuously introduce cost-effective food items amidst high inflation to reduce the burden of shopping baskets and boost in-store sales.

Choi Eun-yong, senior managing director of Emart24, said, "We focused on developing products that are affordable while maintaining taste and quality to lower the burden of shopping baskets in a high-inflation environment."
