Designer fashion brands, known as so-called 'designer fashion brands,' that have entered Musinsa are embroiled in controversy for selling products filled with polyester stuffing, which do not meet the standards, as goose down padding.

According to industry sources on the 3rd, some fashion brands that have entered Musinsa, such as Intempomood and Goodlifeworks, are processing full refunds for the problematic padding products.

Earlier, a netizen had requested an investigation of some padding products sold on Musinsa from the KOTITI Testing and Research Institute. However, it was claimed that the actual filling ratio differed from the stated ratio at the time of sale, and in some products, the polyester filling ratio exceeded 76% instead of goose down, failing to meet the standard. According to the Korea Consumer Agency, to label a product as 'down,' the proportion of down must be at least 75%.

As the controversy escalated, some fashion brands admitted that there were issues with product labeling. In the case of Goodlifeworks, their 'Oversized Duck Down Pocket Anorak' padding was labeled as 'duck down,' but it was pointed out that most of the stuffing was polyester.

Goodlifeworks noted in a product announcement on Musinsa, 'Upon checking the filling ratio of the product, we found that there were discrepancies with the duck down labeling,' and added, 'While we did not separately state the mixing ratio, we apologize for having a lack of understanding regarding the criteria for duck down labeling.' Goodlifeworks stated that they will fully refund the problematic product.

Intempomood also acknowledged that there was an error in the mixing ratio labeling for their 'Pop Down Padding Jacket.' Intempomood stated on their official website, 'We have recognized that the mixing ratio we listed and the actual mixing ratio of the product differ from the facts. We proceeded with sales without sufficiently verifying the mixing ratio, trusting the information from the manufacturer during the product production process, and this is clearly our mistake.' Intempomood also plans to fully refund the problematic product.
