On the 2nd, wine importer Geumyang International announced it will release the Italian wine "Mastroberardino."

"Mastroberardino" is a leading producer located in Campania, near the southern Italian port city of Naples. Established in 1750, the Mastroberardino family has operated the winery through 10 generations in a family-run manner. Currently, owner Piero Mastroberardino serves as the president of Grandi Marchi, a prestigious association of Italian wine producers.

Predecessor Antonio Mastroberardino cultivated the masterpiece wine Taurasi using only the Aglianico grape variety, which was not favored in Campania. Thanks to Antonio, the previously obscure Taurasi received the highest designation of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin (DOCG) in Italy in 1991. Currently, about 300 wineries, led by Mastroberardino, produce Taurasi DOCG wine in the region.

Mastroberardino Radici Taurasi DOCG is a wine made exclusively from Aglianico grapes. According to Geumyang International, it has a complex and intense aroma of ripe cherries, violets, and smoke on the nose. On the palate, it leaves a smooth and rich tannin that adds depth and a long finish.

A representative from Geumyang International noted, "Mastroberardino is a true master of southern Italy and a wine dedicated to maestros in the arts such as music and painting," adding that it is "a meaningful wine that conveys respect for everyone who does their best in their respective positions."

Mastroberardino will offer a total of six products, including Taurasi, which can be found in department stores and discount stores nationwide.
