Hotel Shilla announced on the 27th that it has signed a business agreement with the Jeju Tourism Organization to activate the Jeju tourism industry.
According to Hotel Shilla, key figures such as Kim Kyung-rok, general manager of Jeju Shilla Hotel, and Ko Seung-cheol, president of the Jeju Tourism Organization, held the agreement ceremony the previous day at the Jeju Welcome Center located in Yeondong, Jeju City.
This business agreement is seen as a continuation of the campaign "Promise with Jeju" for sustainable travel to Jeju initiated in August. The goal is to lay the groundwork for revitalizing the Jeju tourism market through cooperation in developing and consulting on tourism products.
The main contents of the agreement include: ▲(Promise of respect) Promoting the commercialization and landmarking of village tourism products based on Jeju's unique culture ▲(Promise of coexistence) Revitalizing the local economy through business linkage and cooperation with residents ▲(Promise of preservation) Promoting joint community contribution activities to create a sustainable travel culture.
The two parties plan to establish a working committee to concretize detailed plans for the efficient execution of the cooperative projects and to engage in continuous discussions. Ko Seung-cheol, president of the Jeju Tourism Organization, noted, "Through the agreement with Hotel Shilla, I hope the Promise with Jeju campaign provides a positive experience for tourists visiting Jeju and offers tangible help to the local community."
