Dong-A Otsuka announced on the 18th that it will increase the prices of its products by an average of 6.3% starting January 1, 2025, due to continuous increases in raw materials prices and logistics costs.

The price of a 250ml can of Pocari Sweat will increase from 1,600 won to 1,700 won, a 6.3% rise. The 620ml PET bottle will increase from 2,500 won to 2,600 won, or 4.0%, and the 1.5L PET bottle will see an increase from 3,800 won to 3,900 won, a 2.6% rise.

A 250ml can of Narangd Cider will increase from 1,400 won to 1,500 won, a 7.1% rise, while the 350ml can will increase from 1,700 won to 1,800 won, or 5.9%. Similar to Pocari Sweat, each will increase by 100 won.

Oronamin C and Demi Soda will also see uniform price increases of 100 won per product. A 250ml can of Oronamin C will rise from 1,400 won to 1,500 won, or 7.1%, while the 350ml can will increase from 1,700 won to 1,800 won, a 5.9% adjustment. The four varieties of Demi Soda 250ml cans (apple, peach, lemon, and chardonnay) will all increase by 6.3%, raising the price from 1,600 won to 1,700 won.

Oronamin C will increase from 1,400 won to 1,500 won, a 7.1% rise, while the Confidence 230ml bottle, which has seen an increase of over 50% in materials and supplies costs compared to cans and PET bottles, will rise from 1,800 won to 2,000 won, an 11.1% increase.

Meanwhile, the price of Dejava canned products will remain the same, while the coffee brand "Ikaria" will lower its prices. Recently revamped, Ikaria will reduce its price from 2,400 won to 2,100 won, a 12.5% decrease. Although the beans used are the same, the extraction method has been changed from cold brew to hot brew, and the PET used has been switched, leading to the decision for a price reduction.

A Dong-A Otsuka official noted, "We considered a price increase this year; however, to minimize consumer burden despite continuous increases in prices, we temporarily postponed the increase. However, due to ongoing external factors such as rising raw materials prices and logistics costs, adjustments next year are unavoidable." The official added, "We will continue to do our best to provide better quality and service to consumers based on customer trust."

In addition, Dong-A Otsuka adjusted the prices of its products, including Pocari Sweat, by an average of 8.6% in 2022 due to the increase in raw materials prices and the burden of rising logistics costs.
