The government will supply more than 300 dwellings for seniors, known as "Silver Stay," in the public housing district near the Guri Galmae station.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 18th that they will conduct a public call for contractors starting from the 19th to implement a pilot project for Silver Stay in the Guri Galmae station area. Silver Stay is a long-term private rental dwelling that offers facilities and services tailored for the elderly, with a rental obligation period of 20 years.

Individuals aged 60 and older can move in, with priority given to those without housing; however, homeowners can also apply for remaining units. The initial rent is set at about 95% of the level of similar silver facilities, and services such as emergency safety checks, daily living assistance (cleaning and laundry), and meal services will be provided.

The pilot project area for Silver Stay covers 34,593 square meters in the Guri Galmae station district. Plans are to supply 725 multi-family dwellings with exclusive areas of 60 to 85 square meters. Contractors may supply the entire area as Silver Stay or mix at least 300 units with publicly supported private rentals.

Detailed information regarding the project will be posted on the Korea Land and Housing Corporation's website starting from the 19th, and letters of intent will be accepted until 3 p.m. on the 27th of the 26th.
