This year, the number of unsold units in Seoul that have not found owners even after completion has reached its highest level in three years.
According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the city of Seoul on the 15th, the number of dwellings categorized as malignant unsold units in Seoul as of the end of October was surveyed at 523 units.
This represents 57.0% of the total unsold units in Seoul (917 units). Compared to the same period last year (408 units), this marks an increase of 28.2% (115 units) and is the highest level since 2021 (55 units).
Most of the unsold units after completion were small and medium-sized dwellings, each with fewer than 300 units. By district, Gangdong-gu had the highest number at 251 units, followed by Gangseo-gu (145 units), Gwangjin-gu (33 units), Yangcheon-gu (31 units), Gangbuk-gu (23 units), and Guro-gu (21 units).
Excluding unsold units after completion, the number of unsold dwellings in Seoul was recorded at 394 units. This represents a decrease of 21.2% compared to the same period last year.
