On the 16th, both the ruling and opposition parties will attend an outdoor rally on "the pros and cons of President Yoon Suk-yeol's impeachment" and continue the relay protest. As speculation grows regarding the imminent ruling of the Constitutional Court on President Yoon's impeachment trial, they are focusing their efforts on public opinion while closely monitoring the court's movements.

Recently, within the People Power Party, the hardline approach advocating against President Yoon's impeachment trial has gained traction. This follows President Yoon's release due to the court's cancellation of his detention and the subsequent rejection of impeachment motions against high-ranking government officials, including Choi Jae-hae, the chairman of the Board of Audit and Inspection.

Amid this, the leadership is distancing itself from the outdoor protests, but veteran lawmakers in the party are taking to the streets.

Lawmakers have been continuing the "relay protest" in front of the Constitutional Court since the 11th. Lawmakers Song Eon-seok, Jo Ji-yeon, and Shin Dong-wook have been participating in the protests holding signs calling for "impeachment dismissal" from the 15th until today.

On this day, Song Eon-seok issued a statement saying, "We held a relay protest for impeachment dismissal in front of the Constitutional Court last night," and added, "The unlawful and unconstitutional impeachment must surely be dismissed. I will do my utmost until President Yoon returns to his duties." On the 15th, Song also hosted a rally against impeachment in his constituency of Gyeongbuk Gimcheon.

Some lawmakers, including Na Kyung-won, Gu Ja-geun, Jang Dong-hyuk, and Kang Myung-gu, gathered the day before (15th) at a large rally against impeachment organized by the conservative Christian group Save Korea at Gumi Station in Gyeongbuk. At this event, Na stated, "Let's create a stronger wave of freedom," asserting, "The beginning will be the day when President Yoon's impeachment is invalidated, leading to his return to duty."

The Democratic Party is also concentrating its efforts on public opinion urging the swift removal of President Yoon while closely monitoring the ruling date by the Constitutional Court. Since the 12th, the party has been marching approximately 8.7 km daily from the National Assembly to Gwanghwamun, and continues to hold relay speeches calling for the president's removal at the tent protest site in Gwanghwamun.

In the afternoon of the same day, they will conduct the fifth march and participate in the "Immediate removal of the president emergency action" rally to increase pressure on the Constitutional Court.
