The Ministry of Environment announced on the 18th that during the 43rd humidifier disinfectant damage relief committee meeting, 17 people were additionally recognized as victims, and relief benefits would be provided.

The total number of victims recognized and receiving relief benefits due to humidifier disinfectant damage has increased to 5,828.

During the committee meeting that day, the damage grades for four previously recognized victims were also determined.

Among those newly recognized as victims or whose damage grades were determined this time, five lung cancer victims were included.

Lung cancer was first recognized as damage from humidifier disinfectants in September last year.
