Waplat, NHN's senior care subsidiary, announced on the 26th that it will deploy its Waplat artificial intelligence (AI) senior safe care in the project to prevent solitary deaths in the Geumjeong District of Busan.

According to NHN, Waplat safe care was recognized for its effectiveness and business outcomes during the pilot operation in the Geumjeong District last year.

Waplat will officially supply Waplat safe care to Geumjeong District from this month until the end of the year. The district plans to utilize Waplat safe care for 200 residents at high risk of isolation, including middle-aged individuals living alone and seniors aged 65 and older from its 16 administrative welfare centers.

The company noted that even with just the smartphones owned by the targeted individuals, it can support services such as ▲ AI well-being checks ▲ SOS emergency alerts based on mobile phone movement detection ▲ cardiovascular health and stress index measurement ▲ health consultations with specialists.

In particular, local government officials can monitor the well-being and health status of the targeted individuals in real time through an administrator page available on both PCs and smartphones.

Additionally, for some high-risk individuals under intensive management, such as discharged patients, nurses and professional consultants plan to provide direct well-being check and health consultation services.
