HANCOM announced on the 12th that it has formed a consortium with Samsung SDS to win the contract for the 'National Assembly Big Data Platform (AI National Assembly) Phase 1 Project.'

This project will be carried out in three phases until 2027, aiming to support the legislative body's policy decisions and enhance public trust by integrating data from the National Assembly and external organizations and analyzing and processing it with big data and artificial intelligence (AI) technology. HANCOM and Samsung SDS, selected as the Phase 1 contractor after competition with KT and Megazone, will carry out a project worth 11.6 billion won over 13 months.

The HANCOM and Samsung SDS consortium will create an environment in which artificial intelligence can utilize vast data inside and outside the National Assembly, allowing lawmakers to efficiently conduct their legislative activities, while establishing a big data platform capable of providing integrated information.

By implementing intelligent search services through HANCOM's Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) based AI Q&A solution 'HANCOM-Pedia' and Samsung SDS's generative AI service platform 'FabriX,' lawmakers will be supported in quickly and accurately utilizing a large amount of legislative data from the National Assembly Secretariat and the National Assembly Library. Additionally, a solution called 'HANCOM Assistant' will be supplied to automatically draft specialized documents for the National Assembly, such as legislative bill drafts, audit inquiry materials, and press releases, by analyzing user intentions using AI technology.

HANCOM's AI products support optimized language models in various environments, including cloud and closed networks, and can provide customized functions reflecting customer requirements. The company suggests that compatibility with various productivity tools, such as HANCOM Office, web office, and MS Office, is also a strong point.

HANCOM noted, 'Winning this project is the result of HANCOM Alliance, a cooperative body launched to expand the AI ecosystem based on its own technology and sales know-how.' Furthermore, it stated, 'It is particularly significant that HANCOM Assistant and HANCOM-Pedia were recognized for their performance in the public market within just two months of their release.'

Kim Yeon-soo, CEO of HANCOM, said, 'Winning the National Assembly project not only proves HANCOM's AI technology capabilities but also presents an important opportunity to lead the digital transformation of the National Assembly.' He added, 'We will lead the digital transition in the public sector and contribute to strengthening national competitiveness through continuous technology development and partner cooperation.'

He continued, 'We are currently accelerating our efforts to secure contracts, focusing on public market references. This year, we aim to speed up the monetization of AI projects to achieve actual sales and revenue generation.'
