Jensen Huang, chief executive officer (CEO) of Nvidia, a leader in artificial intelligence (AI) chips, announced that Samsung Electronics' GDDR7 memory semiconductors will be supplied for the company's new graphics processing unit (GPU) for gaming.

On the 8th, Huang noted in a statement, "The GeForce RTX 50 series will include GDDR7 products from various partners, starting with Samsung."

He mentioned Samsung as one of the "various partners" by saying, "starting with Samsung." The GeForce RTX 50 series will also feature products from SK Hynix and Micron.

During a keynote speech at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025 in Las Vegas, Huang addressed concerns that Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix might be excluded, as he only mentioned Micron as the supplier of GDDR7 for the GeForce RTX 50 series.
