Yoo Young-sang, president of SK Telecom, noted at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025, which opened on the 7th in Las Vegas, that "artificial intelligence (AI) technology has matured to a new level. SK Telecom's advantage lies in its ability to generate synergy through collaboration with affiliated companies."

After the opening of CES 2025, Yoo visited the exhibition hall jointly set up with SK Hynix, SKC, and SK Enmove, among other SK affiliates, to review the exhibition, and then spoke with reporters, expressing his views. Regarding Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, whose keynote speech had attracted attention the previous day, he said, "Last year, AI technology garnered a lot of interest as it emerged for the first time, but now we are seeing many applications of AI optimized for daily life and industry."

He discussed the AI personal assistant service, Esther, set to launch this year, stating, "The AI assistant will evolve from an agent to a concept of an avatar. Testing how we can implement agent services on a global stage is the direction we are heading. We won't know the results until we fully dive in."

Yoo pointed out that the collaboration structure of AI technology and industry with SK Hynix, SKC, and other SK Group companies at this CES is a strength that differentiates SK Telecom from other competitors.

Han Jong-hee, head of the device experience (DX) institutional sector at Samsung Electronics, who welcomed Yoo at the Samsung Electronics exhibition hall, said, "If you have time, I encourage you to check out not only the general exhibition but also the private booths."

While touring the Samsung Electronics exhibition hall, Yoo remarked, "The SmartThings section of Samsung Electronics' exhibition was impressive," adding, "Now, everything in the house is being equipped with AI, which is a natural progression, but they are strategically doing very well."

After visiting the Samsung Electronics exhibition hall, Yoo met with Ko Washi Haruhito, head of Panasonic Device Sales Korea, who expressed anticipation for semiconductor, communication, and automotive sectors within the Korean exhibition hall.
