The Broadcast Communication Review Committee (BCR) stated on the 7th that the number of corrective requests related to deepfake sexual crime videos surged after the announcement of the 'Comprehensive Measures for Deepfake Sexual Crime Videos' in August last year.

With the expansion of victim report reception, monitoring of major distribution channels, and the implementation of strengthened three-stage measures, the monthly average of corrective requests for deepfake sexual crime videos increased from 1,519 in August last year to approximately 3,789, nearly 2.5 times.

The BCR emphasized the importance of rapid response to the increasing deepfake sexual crime videos, stating that it plans to maintain a constant response system this year. It explained that follow-up measures such as building a Telegram hotline, expanding cooperation with platforms, establishing collaboration systems with victim support agencies and education offices, promoting victim compensation, international agenda-setting, and holding global platform cooperation meetings have been completed as planned.

Additionally, this year, they requested additional livelihood budget support necessary for creating digital sexual crime prevention education content for youth, establishing a special committee for digital sexual crimes, and increasing the number of professional personnel.
