Qualcomm announced on the 7th (local time) that it will unveil the next-generation service of its cloud-based service platform, the Qualcomm Aware Platform, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2025) in Las Vegas, USA.

The Qualcomm Aware Platform supports corporations in various industries, such as logistics, retail, energy, smart home, and robotics, by adding visibility, monitoring, and location capabilities to intelligent consolidation devices. Additionally, it is a core component of the Qualcomm Internet of Things (IoT) Solutions Framework, pre-integrated with various Qualcomm chipsets and third-party hardware, adding value for OEMs, ODMs, corporate users, distributors, retailers, and consumers.

Qualcomm Aware is a platform with horizontal scalability, implementing a highly integrated approach that adds cloud-based visibility and insights, geographic location, accurate indoor positioning, firmware updates, and device management services to connected consolidation devices. This allows device manufacturers to gain new insights about their connected devices and to proactively prevent and resolve issues.

Through this platform, retailers can analyze the inventory turnover of high-priced items or receive alerts in case of theft. In addition, distributors can check the efficiency and accuracy metrics of vehicle deliveries, while device users can extend the lifespan of their devices through the latest software, operating systems, and features.

Nakul Duggal, Deputy Minister of Qualcomm's automotive, institutional sector, embedded IoT, and cloud computing, noted, "The Qualcomm Aware Platform can help address some of the most significant challenges that arise in the process of building, customizing, and deploying intelligent consolidation solutions." He further explained, "This highly integrated approach provides corporations with a simple way to leverage comprehensive functionalities, such as cloud-based visibility insights, geographic location services, and device management tools to add value to their devices."
