On the 6th, Rebellion announced that it had signed a mutual cooperation memorandum of understanding with Ellice Group, an artificial intelligence (AI) education solution corporation, to revitalize the domestic AI semiconductor ecosystem.
With this agreement, the two corporations will pursue ▲ the establishment of a Rebellion NPU-based cloud platform ▲ exploring export options for the Ellice Cloud PMDC (Portable Modular Data Center) based global data center ▲ and jointly participating in AI education-related projects both domestically and internationally.
The two corporations will first proceed with technical cooperation for the establishment of the Rebellion NPU-based cloud platform and seek opportunities to expand into global data centers based on this. Rebellion has accumulated experience in the commercialization of NPU within data centers and supply of server-oriented products at a rapid pace, while Ellice Group has experience in building AI-specialized cloud infrastructure as well as capabilities in PMDC development and operation.
The two companies plan to plan joint projects to create overseas references by utilizing each other's expertise and global networks. They will also actively engage in education-related businesses based on domestic AI semiconductors utilizing Rebellion's NPU. In the field of university education, they will collaborate to plan and conduct AI education linked to real-world practices and hackathons, working together to promote the spread of AI and AI semiconductors within universities.
Park Seong-hyun, CEO of Rebellion, noted, "Rebellion has been creating success cases for the spread of domestic AI semiconductors together with various companies in the AI industry," and added, "Since Ellice Group is a corporation that has achieved results not only in AI education solutions but also in the PMDC sector, we will be able to provide efficient and stable AI infrastructure and services based on AI semiconductors together."
