LG Electronics will participate in the world’s largest IT and home appliance exhibition, "CES 2025," held in Las Vegas, USA, unveiling a range of solutions implemented as artificial intelligence (AI) home appliances and expanded into mobility.

From Jan. 7 to 10 (local time), LG Electronics will set up a 2044㎡ exhibition hall at CES 2025, showcasing AI appliances and the consolidation of AI homes connected through these devices. At the entrance of the exhibition hall, a massive kinetic LED sculpture, measuring 10.4 meters wide by 5.2 meters high, has been installed, made up of over 700 light-emitting diode (LED) signage.

First, LG Electronics will introduce the AI home zone. Various AI home hubs, including the "LG ThinQ ON" equipped with generative AI and on-device AI concept products, detect the customer's words and actions and the surrounding environment through sensors installed throughout the home to optimally control the connected Internet of Things (IoT) devices.

For example, the AI home hub analyzes the heart rate, breathing, and coughing of a customer who is sleeping through sensors installed throughout the home, suggesting hot water to a customer who usually drinks cold water or automatically adjusting the indoor temperature and humidity. The next-generation 136-inch "LG Micro LED" installed in the living room identifies the customer’s voice and provides web OS content tailored to that individual. Data collected with the customer’s consent is protected by LG Electronics’ proprietary security system, "LG Shield."

LG Electronics will also unveil the new ‘LG Signature’ products for the first time. The "Smart Instaview Refrigerator" has upgraded its Instaview technology with a transparent OLED display, allowing customers to check the types and amounts of food stored without opening the door. Additionally, it will showcase the world’s first wireless and transparent OLED TV, "LG Signature OLED T," created in collaboration with Italian luxury furniture brand "Kartell," as well as an air purifier, "Aero Cat," for cat owners.

Visitors will be able to experience a ‘in-cabin sensing’ solution based on vision AI by directly boarding a concept vehicle installed at the exhibition hall and utilizing a virtual driving simulation. This solution quickly and accurately recognizes surrounding objects, people, signals, etc., using vision AI technology, categorized information from cameras and sensors which allows the AI to translate foreign language traffic signs in real-time or detect drowsiness, real-time heart rate measurement, and safety belt usage based on the driver’s gaze and facial expressions, contributing to traffic accident prevention.

The ‘MX platform,’ a mobile customized space that expands the AI home into a vehicle, allows visitors to experience a concept vehicle created using LG Electronics' household appliances and the AI home hub, ‘LG ThinQ ON.’

‘LG ThinQ ON’ monitors the in-vehicle environment in real-time, communicates with passengers, manages schedules, provides weather and traffic information, as well as assisting with food orders, laundry, and restaurant reservations.

A large media art installation featuring 28 units of the 77-inch ‘LG Signature OLED T’ and a large chandelier is also available. A massive sculpture, encircled by transparent OLED displays, allows for viewing beautiful artwork from any position.

The wireless and transparent OLED TV, which rotates left and right according to the video, displays when showing content like the Milky Way, ocean, stained glass, etc., along with the transparent screen behind chandelier lighting, and when rotating, it expresses the slim design of the OLED and the space cleared of complicated cables due to wireless transmission.

In a cave-like space created using a 97-inch OLED TV at the front and over 250 pieces of LED signage attached along the wall, various AI services provided by a unique visual and audio AI chipset ‘Alpha11’ and smart TV platform ‘web OS’ are introduced.

LG Electronics has created a gaming zone that offers an optimal environment tailored to individual preferences using the AI home hub ‘LG ThinQ ON.’ While enjoying games on a bendable OLED gaming monitor that can be freely adjusted according to viewing conditions, ThinQ ON automatically lowers nearby blinds or adjusts lights, sound, and indoor humidity based on the surrounding situation.

LG Electronics introduces concept products such as the stand-type wine cellar ‘High Up Wine Cellar,’ which allows adjustment of the wine storage angle, the new concept air purifier ‘Swivel’ that combines a 360-degree speaker and wireless charging capability, and the coffee machine ‘Pure Duet,’ which blends clean water filtered through a purifier with two types of capsules.
