Information technology (IT) service solution corporation Tomato System announced on the 6th that it has formed a consortium with vertical solution specialist Metanet DL and has finalized the contract for the ‘Korea University next-generation portal and academic information system construction project’ worth approximately 10 billion won and will begin full-scale operations.
This project aims to completely rebuild the existing Korea University academic information system using the latest IT-based technologies to quickly respond to the rapidly changing university education environment and to complete a future-oriented information system that reflects user demands.
The scope of the project includes a wide range of areas such as the portal and academic administration system, mobile services, electronic contract system, groupware and electronic approval system, regulation management system, management statistics system, and chatbot advancement.
Tomato System will hold approximately 47% (4.8 billion won) equity in this project, playing a key role while focusing on building various solutions such as the graduate school entrance examination system, subsidiary administration system, and portal.
Korea University plans to provide easy and convenient integrated administrative services to students and staff through this project, significantly enhancing usability and satisfaction through personalized services. Additionally, it will build an integrated portal system that allows users to check and process necessary information in one portal, while strengthening links with mobile services to create an environment where academic information can be easily accessed anytime and anywhere.
