Samsung selected experts in key technology fields such as manufacturing, equipment, quality, infrastructure, molds, measurement, and purchasing as "2025 Samsung Masters," it announced on the 6th.
A total of 15 Samsung Masters were selected this year, marking the largest number ever following last year. Among the affiliates, 9 are from Samsung Electronics, 2 from Samsung Display, 2 from Samsung SDI, and 2 from Samsung Heavy Industries.
This year, for the first time, Samsung Heavy Industries produced a master in the shipbuilding and marine plant sector. Samsung has been operating the Samsung Masters program since 2019, expanding the selected fields for masters and the affiliates introducing the master system.
Initially, Samsung Masters were selected mainly in manufacturing technology, molds, and quality fields, but recently experts in purchasing and environmental safety have also been recognized as masters. The master system, first introduced at Samsung Electronics in 2019, has been expanded to Samsung Electro-Mechanics in 2020, Samsung Display, and Samsung SDI in 2021, and now to Samsung Heavy Industries this year.
To date, Samsung has selected 69 masters and is committed to preventing core technology talent loss and nurturing the next generation through the operation of the master program. Employees selected as masters receive various personnel benefits, including incentives, a master allowance, and priority selection for the "Samsung Senior Track," which allows continued employment after retirement.
