Kwak No-jeong, president of SK Hynix, said in a New Year's address on the 2nd, “The age of artificial intelligence (AI) will face challenges in more areas,” adding, “We must focus on 'technological innovation,' the source of our competitiveness, and begin a new year that surpasses last year.”
Kwak noted, “Last year was a year when, thanks to the efforts of all members and close collaboration with group member companies, SK Hynix and the semiconductor industry wrote a new chapter in history,” and expressed gratitude to the members who did their best with a one-team spirit despite various challenges on site.
He continued, “Now is the time to start a new year that surpasses last year in every aspect,” saying, “Not only in financial performance but through constant innovation, we must address our shortcomings and enhance our inherent abilities to rise as a first-class company.”
Kwak emphasized, “To this end, we must first focus more on technological innovation, the source of our competitiveness, and mobilize all corporate capabilities to launch innovative products with the highest quality and performance in the market on time.”
He also stated, “In addition, we all need to make special efforts for operational innovation that enhances both profitability and work processing levels through corporate culture innovation, which further develops our ways of working based on the group's management philosophy, SKMS (SK Management System), and sophisticated operational improvements.”
Moreover, Kwak remarked, “This year, we will face challenges in more areas such as technology development, management, production, and marketing amidst the wave of the artificial intelligence (AI) era,” adding, “Numerous challenges can turn into crises if we let our guard down even for a moment, but as we did in our proud past, we can turn crises into opportunities and achieve even greater success and progress.”
