On the 2nd, Samsung SDS announced that it ranked 1st in the 2023 domestic managed cloud service (MSP) market share report released by the Information and Communication Technology (IT) market research firm IDC, and 2nd in the domestic public cloud service (CSP) market share report.

IDC analyzes market share and competitive trends based on the business performance of cloud service providers and publishes market share reports.

IDC stated that Samsung SDS ranked 1st with a market share of 23.9% in the domestic MSP evaluation released for the first time this time. MSP providers efficiently manage customer cloud usage and offer services related to networks, infrastructure, security, and monitoring.

Samsung SDS explained that it achieved significant growth compared to the previous year while carrying out cloud transformation and application modernization projects for companies including Samsung Electronics, Korean Air, and Hanwha Life in the manufacturing, finance, and retail sectors.

In addition, IDC noted that Samsung SDS ranked 2nd with a market share of 11.0% as a domestic CSP, making it 1st among domestic cloud companies.

IDC explained that Samsung SDS secured its position in the market and enhanced customer satisfaction by successfully executing projects to convert customer systems to cloud services based on the Samsung Cloud Platform (SCP).

Samsung SDS reported that it aggressively expanded its business across all areas of cloud, including cloud services (CSP) based on SCP, all-in-one managed services (MSP), and software as a service (SaaS), achieving sales of 1.7238 trillion won by the third quarter of last year, a 30% increase compared to the previous year.
