Jibike, operating GCOO, announced on the 30th that its personal mobility (PM) has traveled a total of 84 million kilometers from January to November this year. This distance is equivalent to going around the Earth 2,100 times and is similar to the distance traveled by 4,200 buses over the course of a year.

The distance covered by GCOO's electric bicycles and e-scooters is more than twice the annual driving distance of public transportation (business-use vans) in Sejong Special Self-Governing City (approximately 37 million kilometers). It is also more than 1.5 times the annual driving distance of public transportation in five major districts of Seoul (Jongno-gu, Jung-gu, Dongdaemun-gu, Seodaemun-gu, Yongsan-gu) which is approximately 53 million kilometers.

GCOO launched its electric bicycle service in June 2023. The number of rides in 2024 has increased by 42% compared to the previous year, and the driving distance has grown by 5%. Jibike noted, "This indicates that usage habits have shifted, with electric bicycles being used for long distances and scooters for short distances." GCOO operates over 100,000 devices.

Yoon Jong-su, CEO of Jibike, said, "We have been striving to serve as a pillar of public transportation as a new mode of transport," adding, "We will create a virtuous cycle of complementing the transportation infrastructure of the community by providing convenient and safe means of short-distance travel to more customers."
