LG Electronics announced on the 29th that it will actively implement its ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) vision of "Better Life for All." The company will double the institutions and personnel targets for its "Easy Appliance Project," which donates and educates through its "LG Comfort Kit" and "Easy Reading Books."

LG Electronics noted that it is enhancing the accessibility of appliance use for people with disabilities through the "Easy Appliance Project" and "Appliance School One-Day Classes." The company utilizes its self-developed assistive accessory "LG Comfort Kit" and "Easy Reading Books," which are designed for slow learners and children with developmental disabilities to learn how to use appliances.

This year, in cooperation with the Korea Rehabilitation Association for the Disabled, 10 welfare centers for people with disabilities across the country, including Seoul, Daegu, Pohang, and Ulsan, were selected, and 150 sets of Easy Reading Books and 100 sets of LG Comfort Kits were donated. Additionally, from November for about two months, appliance usage training services were provided to 55 individuals with developmental, physical, and brain-related disabilities using these welfare centers.

LG Electronics plans to publish the "Easy Reading Books," which have been distributed for free, as books and e-books in the first half of next year. Schools, kindergartens, and libraries can also purchase the books for self-directed education.

"Appliance School One-Day Classes" are activities that help participants naturally learn the electrical and mechanical principles of appliances through play and support safe usage. This initiative is part of the "Appliance School Project," which has been conducted in collaboration with the nonprofit organization Peach Market since last year. This year, a total of 15 sessions were held for 118 children and teenagers at schools and LG Electronics Best Shops nationwide.

Yoon Dae-sik, Executive Vice President of External Affairs at LG Electronics, emphasized, "As a corporation, we will strengthen accessible education so that everyone can use appliances easily and safely."
