SOOP announced on the 27th that it will live broadcast the '2024 SOOP Streaming Awards in partnership with NH Cock Bank' from 5 p.m. on the 28th at Sangam Coliseum. This event marks the first awarding ceremony since changing its name and service to SOOP and undergoing new branding, and it is expected to be a true festival and a gathering of celebration with streamers who launched their activities this year participating together.
SOOP has announced the 20 winners of the 'Rookie Award' and 104 streamers selected based on the top 0.1% broadcasting metrics through the '2024 SOOP Awards' page since the 6th. Notably, among the winners of the 'Awarded Streamers of the Year,' one person from each institutional sector of 'Games,' 'Sports,' and 'Visual Radio' will receive the grand prize at the awarding ceremony, attracting significant attention from users.
Following the announcement of the winners, detailed program information has also been revealed. Before the main event begins, a pre-event booth for the audience will be operated from 1 p.m. on the 28th. Popular streamers such as Woojeong-ing, Park Ppi Ppi, GPT, and Wanana will hold fan signing events, and various booths including 'Goods Zone,' 'Event Zone,' and 'Virtual Play Zone' are set to enhance the excitement of the event.
The first part of the event, starting at 5 p.m., will include a congratulatory performance by the virtual idol group 'Other World Idol' along with the awarding of the 'Game Streamer of the Year' previously announced. The second part will cover the 'Rookie Award' and the awards for 'Sports Streamer of the Year' and 'Visual Radio Streamer of the Year.' In the third part, the 'Special Award,' 'NH Cock Bank Award,' along with the winners of the institutional sector awards for Games, Sports, Visual Radio, and the 'Content Award' will be announced.
In addition, the 'Lucky Draw' event, which received great responses from streamers and users last year, will also be held this year. Participants can join the event through the streams of the streamers broadcasting in the 'SOOP Streaming Awards' category on the day of the ceremony.
This year's awards will be held simultaneously offline, online, and on SOOP's virtual reality platform 'Free Blocks.' SOOP aims to provide an immersive experience by uniquely connecting reality and the virtual world, constructing Free Blocks to be identical to the offline awarding ceremony, and allowing both online and offline participants to engage in the awards in a single space.
