G Electronics has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) World for 13 consecutive years.

Global financial information company S&P Global annually evaluates corporations' economic performance as well as the ESG (environmental, social, and governance) sector comprehensively to publish the DJSI.

LG Electronics received the highest overall score in S&P Global's sustainability assessment for the 'home appliances and leisure goods' institutional sector this year, meaning it was selected for the DJSI World, which indicates the top 10% of corporations in ESG management. This marks the longest record among domestic corporations in the home appliances and leisure goods sector.

LG Electronics has also been included in the 'DJSI Asia Pacific' and 'DJSI Korea' for 15 and 16 consecutive years, respectively.

LG Electronics received uniformly high evaluations in ESG areas such as environmental policy and management, human rights management, human resource management, customer relations, supply chain management, and product responsibility management.

Under the ESG management vision of 'a better life for everyone,' LG Electronics is implementing the '3C' strategy (carbon neutrality, resource circulation, and eco-friendly technology) for the planet, alongside the '3D' strategy (safe establishments, diversity and inclusivity, and access to products and services) for people, engaging in various activities.

By 2030, LG Electronics plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions during the product manufacturing stage by 54.6% compared to 2017, through process improvements, energy-saving technology implementation, and renewable energy usage, and aims to achieve carbon neutrality through United Nations (UN) carbon credits and other means. LG Electronics was the first in the home appliance industry to acquire carbon credits from the UN in 2015.

The human rights management process is also being advanced according to international organization human rights and labor standards.

This year, LG Electronics received an overall A rating for four consecutive years from the Korea Corporate Governance Service (KCGS) in the ESG evaluation and grading results announced, and also received an A rating for five consecutive years in the ESG evaluation conducted by the global ESG evaluation agency MSCI.
