LG Uplus users experienced inconveniences accessing the game chat app 'Discord,' OpenAI's 'ChatGPT,' and other sites.
According to the telecommunications industry on the 21st, LG Uplus users faced difficulties accessing overseas sites such as Discord, ChatGPT, and NaMuWiki from 8 p.m. the previous day until 11:20 a.m. that day.
This was determined to be due to internal issues with the internet intermediary business operator, not problems with the LG Uplus network. The intermediary operator is responsible for delivering services managed by the global network operator (CDN) Cloudflare to the domestic market, and LG Uplus explained that there were disruptions in using sites that rely on Cloudflare due to internal issues.
LG Uplus announced on its website that issues arose due to routing changes by the CDN operator, stating, 'Intermittent bottlenecks occurred in the segment between the internet intermediary business operator and the CDN operator, leading to access disruptions for some services; however, recovery has been completed.'
