LG Electronics announced on the 20th that it will begin a visiting service for individuals requiring social consideration, including people with disabilities, seniors, and children.

The LG Go! High! Care Service is a corporate social responsibility initiative aimed at providing home appliance inspections and preventing electrical safety incidents for customers living in welfare facilities or remote mountainous areas that are vulnerable during severe winter and summer conditions.

This service is part of the ESG (environmental, social, governance) vision of 'a better life for everyone,' integrating existing home appliance inspection volunteer activities with the 'Visiting Senior 365 Care Service' for seniors who have difficulty visiting service centers to more efficiently support customers in need.

After a month of pilot operation, LG Electronics will officially implement the care service from this month. The company plans to visit more than 140 welfare facilities for people with disabilities, seniors, and children nationwide by May of next year.

During the cold winter, inspections will be conducted to check washing machines that are prone to freezing and bursting, and preventive measures such as removing residual water from the drainage pump and insulating faucets will be carried out. Additionally, a service to sterilize the inside of washing machines using steam will be offered. There will also be activities to prevent electrical safety incidents, such as replacing aging power strips and applying fire patches.

From March to May, the 'Spring Sunshine Care' activity will focus on inspecting air conditioners in child welfare facilities. The initiative will provide inspections of the air conditioner and refrigerator functionalities, as well as cleaning air conditioner filters to ensure a comfortable summer.

This activity will utilize AI to enhance service efficiency. The 'LG Smart Check' app will diagnose by controlling individual parts without needing to disassemble products, identifying faulty areas based on past operational history and real-time operational information. Additionally, non-destructive testing will be used to identify refrigerator compressor operation information solely from voltage and current values.

Moreover, LG Electronics sets up service bases each year in areas affected by flooding, conducting cleaning, repairing, and parts replacement for home appliances. Since 2009, the company has also participated in the 'Visiting Consumer Rights Promotion Event' organized by the Korea Consumer Agency, offering free home appliance inspection services in cities and counties.

Jeong Yeon-chae, head of customer value innovation at LG Electronics (vice president), noted, 'As a member of the local community closest to our customers, we will continue to prioritize helping those in need and enhance activities that improve their quality of life.'
