MCNEX announced on the 19th that it held a 20th anniversary celebration with its employees and key partners at the Songdo Central Park Hotel in Yeonsu District, Incheon.

On this day, Min Dong-wook, CEO of MCNEX, noted that to mark the 20th anniversary, the slogan “continuous challenge and innovation, towards a bigger future” was chosen and presented a concrete goal of achieving 2 trillion won in sales by growing at an average of 10-11% annually through a mid- to long-term roadmap by 2030.

The five key practical tasks are maximizing customer satisfaction through the ongoing enhancement of the business structure, diversifying and increasing sales through new business ventures, diversifying overseas markets and expanding global clients, pursuing mergers and acquisitions (M&A) of core technologies and related synergies, and strengthening global competitiveness through ESG management.

The new business ventures include mass production of semiconductor multi-chip packaging for automotive applications and imaging semiconductor packaging, as well as nurturing the battery and sensing businesses in the automotive sector.

Market diversification and global expansion include plans to expand production bases in India and North America, centering on factories in Korea and Vietnam, to enhance competitiveness by producing and supplying products tailored to the specific demands of each market through a localization strategy. Currently, all related matters are under review.

Ethical management will be implemented to build trust with customers and stakeholders and to strengthen institutional mechanisms for protecting shareholder rights through transparent governance. From next year, plans will be made to enhance shareholder value through stock repurchases and retirements as well as profit distribution plans, allowing shareholders to confidently invest and hold stocks as a continuous enterprise.

Meanwhile, MCNEX established an ESG management team last May, published the “2023 ESG Report” in June, and prepared for enhancing ESG management by establishing an ESG Commissioner in July. MCNEX obtained an A grade in the ESG evaluation by SustainBest, a leading domestic ESG rating organization, in the second half of 2024.

Additionally, this month, plans are in place to install eco-friendly solar panels at the Songdo headquarters and at the Vietnam manufacturing corporation by June next year, as well as to conduct third-party verification of greenhouse gas emissions calculation, in response to global ESG initiatives such as the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP).

Min Dong-wook, CEO of MCNEX, stated, “Starting with the first publication of the ESG report this year, we will internalize ESG management and share our activities and results with stakeholders annually,” adding, “We will also strive to become a company trusted by internal and external stakeholders through socially responsible corporate activities and transparent and fair governance activities.”
