The Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) announced on the 18th that it held the '2024 Information Security Overseas Expansion Strategy Performance Presentation' at the L Garden Hall of the L Tower in Yangjae, together with the Ministry of Science and ICT, to expand the exports of domestic corporations in the information security sector.
This year, KISA conducted various export support activities based on four strategic hubs, including southern Southeast Asia (Indonesia), northern Southeast Asia (Vietnam), Latin America (Costa Rica), and the Middle East and Africa (Saudi Arabia), such as supporting local exhibitions, hosting global webinars, and planning the participation of domestic corporations in overseas events.
During this performance presentation, discussions were held on ▲ Achievements in K-security overseas expansion ▲ Key achievements and plans by the regions of the strategic hubs ▲ Free discussions on overseas expansion between KISA and corporations. Additionally, KISA plans to publish regional overseas expansion strategy reports for corporations and distribute them online.
Lee Sang-joong, head of KISA, noted, 'We are supporting the overseas expansion of information security corporations by identifying local demand and through workforce development projects centered around the four strategic hubs,' adding that 'we will continue our export support by actively hosting local exhibitions and business consultation meetings preferred by corporations.'
