Naver and the Korea Rural Community Corporation signed a business agreement on the 16th to introduce various IT technologies to address climate crises and local extinction in rural areas.
According to this agreement, the two companies will collaborate on ▲ activating care services for vulnerable groups in rural areas through the introduction of Naver Clova Care Call ▲ revitalizing experience villages and idle resources in rural areas through the introduction of Smart Place ▲ promoting ESG management through cooperative development of renewable energy.
First, the two companies will conduct a pilot operation of Naver's AI phone care service, Clova Care Call, targeting 100 recipients of the Agricultural Bank pension and local vulnerable groups in the Chungbuk region of the Korea Rural Community Corporation. Naver will provide technology consulting and other support. Additionally, they plan to introduce various experience spaces in rural areas through Naver Smart Place and increase touchpoints by providing users with diverse information about rural areas.
Finally, the two companies plan to cooperate to activate ESG management through the joint development of renewable energy including agricultural solar power, while also pooling efforts in the long term to introduce various innovative technologies such as AI and digital twins.
Yoo Bong-seok, Naver's policy/RM representative, noted, “We will strive to ensure that the various innovative technologies and platform capabilities possessed by Naver can contribute to the revitalization of rural areas.”
