Choi Hyun-soo, the representative of KLEANNARA, was appointed as the 36th president of the Korea Paper Association on the 25th. She is the first female president in the 73-year history of the association, which represents the domestic paper industry.
On this day, Choi was elected as the new president at the regular general meeting of the Korea Paper Association held at the Shilla Hotel in Jangchung-dong, Seoul.
Established in 1952, the Korea Paper Association promotes the development of the domestic paper and pulp industry. In the future, Choi will lead the unity and cooperation of the paper and pulp industry for the next two years.
In her inaugural speech, Choi noted, “I feel a heavy sense of responsibility and mission as I take on the role of president at a time when the paper industry is facing a significant turning point. I will become a leader who leads the flow of change as a 'game changer' at the forefront of the industry and creates new standards.”
Choi also presented the three key tasks for the paper industry: ecological innovation, digital transformation (DX), and strengthening global capabilities.
Choi is the eldest daughter of Choi Byeong-min, the chairman of KLEANNARA, and has served as the head of marketing, the head of the household goods division, and the head of the overall business division before becoming the CEO since 2019. She has since led the company's growth by introducing eco-friendly product development and resource recycling production methods.
