Anwar Al Hizaji, CEO of S-Oil, attended the world's largest electronics IT exhibition, CES 2025, which opened on the 7th in Las Vegas, United States.
According to S-Oil on the 8th, Anwar Al Hizaji noted that he attends the CES event each year to quickly experience new future technologies and to seek sustainable strategies to establish the company as a clean energy supplier.
The delegation visited exhibition halls of global corporations, including Samsung SDS, Samsung Electronics, and Microsoft, which had pre-arranged meetings. Samsung SDS is currently implementing S-Oil's next-generation enterprise resource planning (ERP) system upgrade project.
Anwar Al Hizaji said, "It was an opportunity to enhance insights on the direction energy corporations should take," adding that it helped S-Oil examine strategic directions for creating and operating new business models amid massive changes in the management environment, such as energy transition, automotive electrification, and increasing demand for clean energy sources.
S-Oil is establishing a super-large-scale project plan for digital transformation utilizing key technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and is advancing the development of an intelligent factory system at a world-class level.
Construction of the Shaheen project is underway, aiming for completion in 2026. Through 'Vision 2035,' the company aims to maximize the revenue of its existing businesses in refining, petrochemicals, and lubricants, while also developing capabilities in new business areas such as hydrogen, fuel cells, and plastic recycling.
