An Seong-hoon, CEO of HS Hyosung, emphasized on the 2nd that a strategy to win must be established and implemented in the face of serious domestic and external conditions.
During the New Year’s ceremony held on Jan. 2, 2025, at the headquarters auditorium in Mapo-gu, Seoul, CEO An said, "We must establish and implement a strategy to win against any competitor in the global market." He noted, "China has transitioned from a follower that used to chase us to a leader that surpasses us, securing its global competitiveness, and the United States is expected to unleash trade policies centered on its own interests due to a change in administration, which is likely to bring significant shifts to the international trade order."
HS Hyosung welcomed its first New Year after being separated from Hyosung in July of last year. CEO An stated, "We need to establish a high-efficiency management system that boosts productivity, and each business division must identify differentiated businesses with high growth and high profitability to secure the foundation for continuous growth."
CEO An also emphasized the importance of securing competitiveness to win in the global market. He stated, "To win against numerous competitors, including China, we must thoroughly understand market movements and carefully listen to the voices of our customers and their customers, establishing and implementing a strategy to ensure victory." He further added, "We must possess global top quality and cost competitiveness that significantly surpasses that of our competitors."
