Samchuly Group's electric vehicle dealer affiliate 'Samchuly EV' appointed Kim Yong-wook as the new CEO, it was announced on the 2nd.
The new CEO, Kim, is an expert in the imported car dealer business with 35 years of experience. From 1990 to 2003, he worked in the automotive division of Hyosung Corporation, handling the acquisition and operation of the Mercedes-Benz dealership, and later served as sales branch manager and head of sales for Bavarian Motors and Taean Motors for 17 years. He was the president of The Park Motors, the official dealer for Ford Korea, from 2020 to 2024.
Samchuly Group explained that the new CEO, who has significant strengths in achieving goals and generating revenue, will lead the sustainable growth of Samchuly EV and the company's strategic direction.
The new CEO noted, "I will leverage my expertise to help Samchuly EV expand its presence in the domestic electric vehicle market," adding, "Please watch over Samchuly EV, which will contribute to the development of a sustainable eco-friendly mobility market."
Meanwhile, this year marks the 70th anniversary of Samchuly, which operates in the following institutional sectors: the 'energy environment' sector, including city gas, district energy and power generation, energy services, energy solutions, and resource recycling; the 'lifestyle culture' sector, including food service, automobile dealerships, and overseas (food service and hotel) businesses; and the 'finance' sector, including asset management and venture capital.
