Choi Pyeong-kyu, chairman of SNT Group, said, “Let’s enhance our core technology development capabilities and create a management structure that can survive even in crises through proactive risk management.”

In his New Year’s address for 2025 released on Feb. 2, Chairman Choi noted, “The world is accelerating toward a boiling point of a Great Reset, and we are in an era of Singularity, where everything seems chaotic,” adding, “The global economy is also caught in a situation of uncertainty and a Perfect Storm.”

He evaluated, “Now is like a zero-hour situation where one must drive while searching for invisible lanes in a foggy dawn,” but also emphasized, “The deep darkness of dawn is also a prelude to a shining new morning.”

Chairman Choi continued, “In times like these, it is essential to adhere to and practice the fundamentals and principles of steady management, onsite management, and transparent management,” and urged, “We must continuously promote changes and innovations in corporate culture with patience, humility, and consideration, akin to the concept of 정중여산 (jingongmyeosan), while further expanding independent technology development and new market exploration toward the global market.”

Chairman Choi emphasized, “After the Korean War, the driving force that propelled South Korea, which had neither resources nor capital, into the ranks of great advanced nations is the strong DNA and spirit of challenge possessed by the descendants of the Korean people in the face of trials and adversities.” He noted, “To seize the historical development opportunities that will come after the Perfect Storm, it is our mission of this era to further hone that strong DNA and spirit of challenge to grow into global talents.”
