Koo Bon-jun, chairman of LX Group, said on the 2nd, "If we think ahead and prepare early, the current crisis can be an opportunity," and noted that "we must establish a high-level crisis response system and strengthen it."
In his New Year's address, Koo said, "The current management environment is akin to a life-and-death crisis" and emphasized that "amidst escalating uncertainties, corporations must not forget that if they cannot respond quickly to crises, they will be at a crossroads of 'survival or extinction.'"
He further emphasized that "this is a serious time requiring thorough crisis preparedness and proactive, swift responses," and urged those present to "closely examine potential crisis factors and devise response measures for various situations, increasing the intensity and speed of execution."
He added, "We must cultivate businesses that can establish a competitive advantage and secure fundamental competitiveness," and stated, "To achieve this, we should focus on swiftly understanding market changes and trends and identifying customer needs ahead of time."
Koo also emphasized the soundness of the business portfolio. He said, "While actively seeking new customers, focus on uncovering global business opportunities," and stressed that "we must specify the direction and strategy for new businesses and dedicate ourselves to creating tangible results through selection and concentration."
He also urged, "We must establish the unique working culture of LX," adding, "Based on our core values of 'fair management' and 'ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management,' we need to root thorough performance orientation and ensure that everyone leads the way in achieving results that exceed our goals."
